People say there’s nowhere quite like Hotel Karina. Take the long, straight, tree-lined drive to the central courtyard, look around and you’ll start to understand why.

This is a uniquely peaceful, welcoming place. You’re standing in the shade of exotic trees, hung with lights for summer dining. The traditional Charentaise buildings on two sides of the courtyard house luxury rooms and suites, all individually designed, each with its own personality. Perhaps one of them is yours.

In the third wing you’ll find Reception. Wander in and you’ll come to the Restaurant, which has a well deserved reputation for excellent, imaginative cuisine. It’s in a breathtaking room with ancient beams high overhead, an enormous fireplace at the far end and a door to the bar. The bar houses the original still for the production of Cognac many years ago, here you can study the menu and take your time deciding.
You might want a swim before dinner. The large pool is next to the terrace outside. Your car is parked in the private drive free of charge, or under cover for a small extra charge. The only major decision facing you is whether to dine under the beams or under the stars.

Nikki and Austin Legon, and their staff are here to welcome you. And one thing’s for sure: a lot of people you meet will have been here before.
